To many people zero means nothing — to us zero means everything. There are 650 kids waiting in the Minnesota foster care system. Our goal is to make that number zero, because every child deserves a family. If you can't open your home to one of Minnesota's waiting kids, volunteer your time and talents.

Minnesota Lynx’s Sunday, August 1 game will feature the Zero Kids Waiting PSA on their giant jumbo-tron. Designated as Faith and Family Night, the Lynx invites families and congregations to this special event that will feature Christian music. Read more.

Borders Books Joins Child Recruitment Effort – May 22, 2010
Recently patrons at the Midway Borders Books received bookmarks and discounts on merchandise while learning about Minnesota Waiting Children. MARN hosted an informational booth and distributed “Every Child Deserves a Permanent Family” bookmarks.



Kayla, 13, Loves to Color Her Hair
“I once accidentally dyed my scalp pink!” exclaimed Kayla, age 13, who says she loves to change the color of her hair. In addition to changing hair colors, Kayla loves music and recently sang in a talent show. Kayla is very proud to share that she has an awesome memory for names and numbers. She also embraces a variety of activities including skateboarding, biking and walking around town. “I am great with babies and love to be around them,” says Kayla. When asked what she wants from a family she replied, “I am looking for a family that will give me clear rules and boundaries and will be consistent with consequences and rewards.”
